Greg Ward – Operational Know-How

Greg Ward has deep industry expertise that he leverages to target companies in the energy services market that others typically avoid due to lack of experience or perceived cultural barriers. His leadership and industry background within several major energy companies provides a significant level of credibility when he engages potential sellers, management teams, employees and clients.

Greg’s industry experience includes energy, petrochemicals, inspections & asset integrity management, technical staffing, project management services, logistics & supply chain management and management consulting.

He led the $4 billion dollar polymers supply chain and customer operations for ExxonMobil Chemical in the Americas and Asia Pacific regions including managing the largest private railroad system in the US.  He achieved recognition for safety performance, operational excellence, leadership development as well as successful implementation of SAP across Asia Pacific.

Greg was a member of the leadership team responsible for Royal Dutch Shell’s $15 billion U.S. retail business transformation that pivoted the business to an “asset-light” franchise model.  He led the team that launched the world’s first pre-paid fuel card in the U.S. market achieving $50 million of sales within the first year.

He was tapped to be interim President for the $60 million project management division of GL Nobel Denton and led a successful turnaround of the business unit within six months of assuming the position. The division became the most profitable global business unit during his tenure.

Greg served as vice president of major accounts for GL’s approximately $150 million technical services division with responsibility for the Americas and Asia Pacific. He achieved organic revenue growth of 50+ percent within major accounts including clients such as ExxonMobil, Shell, and El Paso Energy.

He led an operational improvement team for Chevron’s Upstream and Trading organization that included the development and implementation of strategies for major project execution and senior leader engagement where he received recognition as an expert implementation manager and change leader.
